Yahaya is got involved in nutmeg because he was fed up of being silent. it was after he noticed the outreach projects such as “grab your mic” and “E2G” that nutmeg provide for young people in his area that yahaya decided he wanted to be part of the nutmeg community. with the different role models and inspirational young people to look up to, yahaya was inspired to create a magazine for young people in his area with the support and mentorship of the nutmeg community. he is now an active member who participates in decision making as well as acting as an ambassador for nutmeg in his school and local area. being part of nutmeg has helped yahaya grow into a more independent, confident and positive person, all of which are qualities which will him help both at university and in his chosen career path.
